Cranberry Apple Bread Recipe

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Bread pan size: 8 x 4 x 2 inch bread pan
Temp: 350°F degrees
Bread baking time: 55 to 65 minutes
Servings: 1 bread loaf

1 package cranberry quick bread mix
1 cup fresh or frozen, thawed cranberries, halved
1/2 cup apples, washed, peeled, chopped
1 cup apple juice or water
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/3 cup sliced almonds
Apply jelly

Cranberry Apple Bread Recipe

Heat oven the oven. Grease and flour bottom of 8 x 4 or 9 x 5 inch bread pan.

In large bowl, combine all ingredients except sliced almonds and jelly. Stir by hand until slightly lumpy. Pour Cranberry Apple Bread batter into greased and floured loaf pan. Sprinkle top of the batter with almond slices.

Bake or 55 to 65 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool Cranberry Apple Bread on a cooling rack 15 minutes; remove Cranberry Apple Bread from loaf pan.

Cool completely, store in refrigerator. Just before serving brush with warm apple jelly. Makes one Cranberry Apple Bread loaf.
