Whole Wheat Apple Bread Recipe

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Bread pan size: 8 x 4 bread pan
Temp: 350°F degrees
Baking time: 55 to 60 minutes
Servings: Makes 2 loafs

1 cup canola or olive oil
2 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cup whole wheat flour
dash of salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cup chopped apples
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon vanilla

Whole Wheat Apple Bread Baking Directions

Pre heat your oven. Wash core, peel and chop the apples, set aside. In a large bowl whisk together oil, sugar, eggs.

In a second bowl sift together flour, salt, soda and add to oil mixture. Add apples, nuts and vanilla. Spoon into two greased bread pans.

Bake for the allotted time or until done when a toothpick inserted in the top of the loaf and it comes out clean. Turn whole wheat apple bread out of pans onto a baking rack to cool.
