Baking Directions

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith apples with Braeburn apples, or Northern Spies apples with Newtown apples or all apples together. Pan size: 8 x 8 inch baking dish Temp: 350°F degrees Baking time: 40 minutes Servings: 9

Apple Brownies

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
3 apples, peeled, cored, chopped
2/3 cup chopped pecans
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
vanilla ice cream

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg, then mix in apples and pecans. Sift dry ingredients and work into the first mixture. Pour into a buttered, 8 x 8 inch baking dish and bake at 350 degrees 40 minutes. Serve the Apple Brownies warm with vanilla ice cream.
