Coarsely chop peanut butter chips. Setting aside 1/3 cup peanut butter chips for pie garnish. Combine peanut butter, cream cheese and vanilla in medium bowl; beat until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk, keep blending until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping. Stir in the chopped peanut butter chips. Pour pie batter into the prepared pie crust. Cover peanut butter pie with plastic wrap; freeze pie for at least 3 hours or until pie is firm. Remove peanut butter pie from refrigerator for 6 to 8 minutes before serving. Garnish each slice of peanut butter pie with whipped topping and peanut butter chips. Cover; freeze leftover peanut butter pie. Peanut butter Crumb Pie Crust Recipe48 vanilla wafers Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Put the vanilla wafer in a bender or a food processor you can even put vanilla wafers into a zip lock bag then roll with a rolling pin to make crumbs. Stir together vanilla wafer crumbs and powdered sugar. Spoon creamy or crunchy peanut butter and 3 tablespoons butter or margarine in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 20 seconds or until the butter is melted and mixture is well blended when stirred. Add the vanilla wafer crumbs to peanut butter mixture, stirring thoroughly. Press vanilla wafer crumbs onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate evenly. Bake the peanut butter crumb crust for 5 minutes and cool completely before pouring in the pie batter. Helpful hint: 1 - 9 inch, pre made deep dish, packaged crumb pie crust may be used instead of making the peanut butter crumb crust yourself. |
