Oat and Pecan Pie Crust Recipe

Directions

Pan size: 8 or 9 inch pie plate
Temp: 425 °F degrees
Baking time: 8 to 10 minutes
Servings: one 8 or 9 inch pie crust


Healthy way to go with a Oat and Pecan Pie Crust.

1 1/4 cups quick cooking oats
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup ground pecans**
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat oven to 425°. In a mixing bowl combine oats, flour, pecans, sugar, and salt together in small mixing bowl.

Whisk together olive oil and water in measuring cup. Add olive oil mixture to dry ingredients and mix well. If necessary, add a little more oil to hold mixture together.

Press oat and pecan crust into a 9-inch pie pan and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

**1/3 cup whole pecan will chop up to equil 1/3 chopped pecans**
