Apple Waldorf Salad Directions3 medium granny smith apples, sliced, cored, cut into bite size pieces In a small mixing bowl, combine red onion, walnuts, craisins, sugar and mayonnaise. Set aside in the refrigerator. To save time you can make the mayonnaise mixture the night before, omitting the onions and walnuts. In a large bowl, combine apples and lemon juice. Stir until apples are well coated with lemon juice, add apples and lemon juice to mayonnaise mixture. Refrigerate for 1 hour to blend flavors. Stir in broccoli. Serves 6 to 8. Easily doubled. |
