BBQ Chicken Salad with Grilled Apples Recipe

Baking Directions

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Plate size: 4 salad plates
Temp: medium high heat
Grilling time: 10
Servings: 4

Recipe title

4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves
3 medium Granny Smith apples, quartered
1 large red onion, quartered
1/4 cup Zesty Italian Dressing
1/2 cup Original Barbecue Sauce
6 cups torn mixed salad greens
1/2 cup Ranch Dressing


Preheat grill to medium - high heat. Brush chicken, apples and onions with Italian dressing.

Grill chicken, apples and onions for about 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (170°F), turning occasionally and brushing chicken with barbecue sauce during last few minutes.

Divide salad greens onto 4 salad pleats. Slice chicken into strips. Arrange chicken, apples, and onions over salad greens. Drizzle chicken salad with grilled apples with ranch dressing.

Kitchen Helpful Hints;

To add a tropical flavor grill 4 pineapple rings along with the apples. Than add the pineapple to the salad.

Substitute; Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing for the Italian dressing.

Easily doubled for a crown.
